Ask Electrical Questions

Dave,
Appreciate your quick response - this has been bugging me since it recently came to my attention. What really bugs me is I have built several homes and should know better (or at least check things out prior to digging into the job).
Again, thanks for the answer and you are right, I will sleep better at night once I know this is taken care of.

Ask electrical-questions about your home electrical project or wiring concern.

Thanks so much for your great electrical-questions!

The high volume of questions has been incredible. I really enjoy helping you through the situations you are faced with, and I certainly appreciate your encouraging replies sharing your appreciation in return.

If your question is about a specific device such as a motor, heater or air conditioner or some other type of equipment please provide the Manufacturers Name, Model Number, Volts and Amps. Most of the time this information can be found on a label attached to the device or the specification sheet. A clear picture of device and the label information would be very helpful.

Simply fill in the information below. Be sure to include as much detailed information as you are able. When you are done simply click the [SUBMIT] button.

Heads Up! - After you press the [SUBMIT] button you will be asked to help me prioritize your question because sometimes I get really busy. If your question is really urgent you will have the opportunity to express this. You will also be given the opportunity to "Donate". Now don't be alarmed about this, you are NOT Required to participate and may not be in the position to do so anyway - no problem, so don't worry about this, I will still do my best to get your question answered - So go ahead - ask the electrician!
