How to Replace a Dining Room Fixture with a Ceiling Fan
- The Neutral (white) (3) all tied together tucked in box
- One Black wire tied to light fixture
- Two Black wires tied to other wire of light fixture.
- How do I wire the ceiling fan, one white has the black tape on it, is this from the switch?

Thanks for your electrical question Dani.
Replacing a Dining Room Fixture with a Ceiling Fan
- The connections for the ceiling fan will be the same as the chandelier, except if there is a light fixture on the ceiling fan then it depends on how it will be controlled.
- Also note that all ceiling fans require the electrical junction box in the ceiling to be rated and approved for Ceiling Fans.
- The links below will proved a wide variety of information and wiring diagrams, however you may want to hire a qualified electrician to get this taken care of for you.
