Installing a Remote Circuit Monitoring System

Do you know of any device that would alert me remotely if a circuit breaker has tripped?

I own a restaurant and I'm seeking something that will notify me if any of my breakers trip while I'm away.

I lost some refrigerated stock last night due to a breaker tripping.

Hi Edward - Great Question!
Sorry to hear about your food loss. You have a few options to prevent the spoilage of food due to electrical failure: Have an alarm system installed by a local alarm company that would monitor the temperature of your refrigerator case. These systems are typically supervised by a central station which would call you in the event of an alarm condition where the temperature went outside of the specified range. Another way is to have a temperature sensor installed which is wired into the same type of system except that it calls you directly by-passing a central station

This system will take a little planning but all the parts are available and just need to be adapted to your application.
Here is some information which can be adapted to your application: Automation Systems

Again, these items could be adapted to your application but you would need to do some homework to understand how it all works. The devices can be used for a variety of systems.
